The expansionist and imperialist policies of China and its desire to regain the lost glory of its ancient Chinese regime has become a potential danger to the world's peace and stability.

The 'Palm and 5 Fingers' Theory given by Mao Zedong, in which China claims Tibet, Ladakh, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Arunachal Pradesh, is a threat to the South Sian region. The expansionist and intimidation tactics of China has increased in recent past in Himalayas, South China Sea, Sea of Japan, etc. People Liberation Army (PLA) has tried to cross the LoAC many times recently and talks over the Galwan issue are still going on between India and China. The Chinese Navy is using its naval supremacy to intimidate the South East Asian nations in the South China Sea.

China's Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which is Xi Jinping's dream project, has become a tool for the Dragon to debt trap small and developing countries. We have seen examples of Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where these 2 nations are trapped right now in the debt of China for which they are leasing out their territories to Chinese state owned companies. China has started neo-colonization using the BRI project.

China's Communist Party which is intolerant towards the liberal and democratic ideas has become a threat to the global democracy. Banning media houses which are anti-CCP, cracking down Uighurs, have become common in China.
China's rapid growth in the field of science and technology has also become a challenge for the world. Many cyber attacks have their source in China. There were recent reports also which showed China has been working on biological and chemical weapons also. Some scientists also believe the COVID-19 virus was engineered in Wuhan Lab.

With the growing GDP, growing military power, growing technology, the China has set its goals high. China aims to replace USA as a world superpower and for that it will try to expand and grow. The world right now is on the edge of a new cold war.
